I often think about how whenever we want something that we know is unattainable or pure lazy silliness we blame the omnipotent "They" for our discomfort and inconveniences. It's a strange phenomena which I realized is hard to sum up in a single sentence for a sketch.. I figured that for most of us when we decide that They should do something about something or another we picture just a great American industry of endless technology and power. I thought a business suit and neat hair cut were quite fitting for this.

Wow, it's been a while since I Much Love Mondayed. I realized I wanted to blog today then was looking at the ones I follow and the thought of it occurred to me. I actually had to check to make sure it was indeed Monday. Things have been..silly lately. But I suppose things are always silly. Wow, that really sucks. Honey pie, you are making me crazy.

Favorite book: The Secret Life of Bees. So it was sunny and warm yesterday, the first time both of those things have happened at once all year. I got a little excited. So I decided I'd read out on my back porch and have a smoothie like I do everyday of my life in the summer. Then I finished my smoothie, and it was too bright to read my book, so I just laid there for another hour:) And I got a little pink from it! I have light lines from my v-neck shirt and bracelets! That is a very exciting phenomena in the Northwest. I am so excited for summer:))

Every Mormon and every saint..

I realized yesterday that Valentines Day is tomorrow. Valentines Day is my favorite, and I'm not quite sure why. I don't believe in love. I think chick flicks are unrealistic and silly. But I love Valentines Day. Conversation hearts are my absolute favorite, pink and red together are so cute, paper strings of hearts, glitter everywhere, those mystery chocolate boxes that never come with a flavor guide so you're left looking for the coconut one for forever.. I've always loved it. Last year in English we wrote poems and decorated them with glitter and doilies and such things. Favorite assignment. I wrote a 2 1/2 page ballad for my best friend who pointed out to me probably a week before that all my poems have sad endings. So I wrote her one with a happy{er} ending. I put puffy stickers on it and glitter and Spongebob and Patrick stickers on the envelope. And Valentine cards are so fun. But all of this at the same time you'll never catch me watching The Sound of Music, or Pride and Prejudice, maybe The Notebook every once and a while and even less of a once in a while Titanic. My kind of love movies are indie, like Paper Heart or Where the Wild Things Are, which doesn't really count. I don't even believe in true love, but it's my favorite holiday. Upon realizing how close and unprepared I was I took a bunch of pictures for tomorrow:) I hope you're ready.

I haven't had much time to post recently..I'll get better at that. I miss summer oodles, I am so ready for it. Now that we're into the second semester, though, summer will be here all too soon, and that is exciting. It's quite the blustery day in this hundered acre wood..I need to paint and get my scanner fixed so I can upload more sketches. Eehh.
