last 2010s!

 Kirstie doodled this in her notebook last year, and found it again this year and texted a picture to me. We peed our pants laughing about it for days.

This is my lucky penny, George Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's brother. He was the less loved brother because he had a slightly bigger nose. I carried this little guy around with me constantly and introduced him to teachers and other kids. Up until he ran away with a bug on my wall named Geoffery. Jerks. I loveded you, piggy! I loveded youuu! Needless to say the rest of my week sucked. Then the next week sucked even worse.

This is the best use I've found for my AP US history textbook yet. Team Green-blue-purple is totally kicking Team Orange-red's butts.

I won this baby in seminary and was uber excited. I half did it before seminary was over. Then I went to school and finished it before school started. Then I did it once more at the end of first period science because we had a bunch of time left. Pretty much half the class helped me with that one. It was entertaining. The name of it on the box is 'Dino Attack!'

This is the 'gingerbread' {graham cracker} house I made this year. My brother and sister's were so much better. Mine resembled my nephew's.  They tried to make me feel better by saying it was Seussesque. I just felt like living my inner 6 year old. The gummy bears are in couples and I gave them frosting hats with pink sugar sprinkle/sparkles.

I got bacon chocolate when we went to Seattle on Wednesday and Thursday. It's like salty chocolate with little crunchy bits and an overall essence of bacon. It's rockin.

 I also bought floral pants at H&M while in Seattle. Hahha, my legs look silly in this picture.

2010 in pictures

Yuck, this is painted so horribly. It was pretty much like my worst nightmare coming true. That I am finally satisfied with a sketch and I paint it and it competently ruins it and changes the appearance. Ugh. Inspired by youth committee XD.

This one wasn't originally intended to be so...explosive. But I drew it, then I came home one day and was like, "I NEED TO PAINT THAT NOW." And I did. And this is how I felt. So I changed my original vision to cater to my newly changed view of the situation.

I wrote a much needed letter to myself. When I become particularly preoccupied with a frillion things and am overwhelmed by the idea of..everything, or just 'something' in general I find it helpful to write myself a letter in this style. I've done it before, but it was handwritten..and private. I was just already on the computer when I decided I needed it, so I thought to myself, "Kyle, {that's what I call myself} why not just write and post it on my blog, then I will see it whenever I'm on the computer as well as printing it out." So I did.

My friends and I went to Woods and Haggens a lot. Especially on half days to party. They decided to write on my cup once, it's from Spongebob.
Spongebob: "Bye, Squidward! Bye, Mr. Krabs! Byyee Squidwaarrd;)"
Patrick: "You said 'Bye, Squidward twice.."
Spongebob: "I liiiike Squidward;)"

After watching Elf my brother and I decided to elf our house while our parents were out. We used Seventeen magazine pages and floss because I was afraid of wasting printer paper and yarn. We made a lot.

 

We went to Seattle to celebrate one of my friends' 16th birthday on Wednesday and Thursday. We shopped at H&M, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters. Expensive. Then we went to Pike Place. I got floral pants and bacon chocolate!

And that pretty much sums up my year of 2010 in pictures!:)

More oxfords!!

Okay, so I was shopping last week, and I have been looking for classic black and white oxfords. The first store I went into I found them! But there were only two 9s left, and my feet are nott a 9. So we ordered them instore and got them shipped to our house, no shipping fee. And guess what's the best part? Originally $50, on clearance for $18. I have to say, I have impeccable timing and skill for shopping:)

And they came today!!

I have a current obsession with oxfords, can you tell? The box actually called them tuxedo shoes, but whatever:)

I will be wearing them around for.. until school actually starts.. to break them in because they are VERY stiff. And I am VERY excited.

Oxford heels and a great deal:)

I went on this great little adventure today to Plato's Closet {I was originally planning on going to Value Village, but we passed it on the way and we went in} and found some amazing clothes! I'll be posting more pictures of them as the summer goes on. I am particularly excited about this pair of oxford heels that I found for $12 originally from Forever 21. I haven't worn heels in sooo long {it weirds me out to not be able to feel the ground through my shoes, and if the sole doesn't bend when I walk} and I am finding out that my heel walking skills aren't up to snuff. So I'm wearing them around the house to build up those little foot muscles:) Hopefully I'll be ace enough to handle these babies by the time school rolls around again!

Scrapbook necklace:)

This necklace is a Scrabble tile,

with scrapbook paper glued to the front of it,

then covered in mod podge to make it nice and shiny.

See? It's just a Scrabble tile with a link glued onto the back:)
